| A Kate pick! Fly By Night is the story of orphan girl, Mosca, and it takes place in an alternate world similiar, but not the same, to our own. Mosca runs away from her water logged villiage with only a disgruntled goose, and joins forces with Clent, a bit of con artist. Mosca is different then most children her age because she can read. Books in Mosca and Clent's world are strictly watched over, and most are banned. Which makes it a nice fit for a book club, eh? Mosca and Clent find themselves swept up in political intrigue and murder, and while the book is presented as a children's book, it's very fast paced and intellectual.
