I hate to say this, being the devoted Twilight fan that I am, but I have totally lost interest in the film version. Maybe it's the combination of TOO much hype about it and my utter disappointment with the final installment of the series, I don't know. I am sure I will see it someday, but it will probably be on my wait for the dollar theater or the dvd list. That must make me sound like an anti-fan, but it is what it is. I am just not ready to see another one of my most beloved books get butchered.

I'm excited about the film, but I see it as a separate entity from the books. I try not to put too much faith in the movie version of great books, that way I'll be happy if it doesn't suck. I do like the chemistry that Rob has on screen... I hope they make him sparkle! And sometimes they don't mess it up to bad, for instance I much prefer Lord of the Rings movies to the books.

The only way this will suck for me is if Alice is less than awesome, and we haven't seen any scenes with her in it yet. Please, let Alice not suck! (Actually I guess all of the Cullens suck, but in a good, vamp vegetarian way).

Hate to double post, but the final Twilight trailer is getting released in less than 6 hours. Click Here for the official site, where the trailer will be able to be seen. You might have to get a widget, but I don't think so.

Triple posting here!! I recommend looking at the widget trailer, the myspace one keeps cutting off, but it's bigger.

I loooooooooooved the preview!! So much better than the sneak peek in Penelope.. I had been hoping that the scene there had been the unfinished product, and it seems I'm right. XD

Things I loved in the trailer:

Rob!! His eyes are just sexy. Thank you, God, for letting him be over the age of 18 in real life so I don't have to feel like a giant perv for having the hots for him, thank you!!

The cute scene with the apple in his hands. Like Edward is Adam presenting Eve with forbidden fruit. Got to love that!

I have a feeling I am going to love Laurant!

The kiss! The lines straight from the books!! It makes it easy to forgive the whole tree climbing stuff (which is actually cool, and I bet Meyer would have added it had she thought of it. Think of the views! What better way to freak out a klutz like Bella)

Things I missed:

Where's my Alice? Some cute little line from her would have been nice!!

Where's any of Bella's friends, or any of the other Cullens for that matter? I realize that in Bella's perfect world it's just her and Edward, but I need Angela, and Mike, and Alice, and Carlisle and Jasper (whom I will never call Jazz... except I kind of just did. *dies*)

So now my excitement level over the movie is back on course! Rob is so hot! Although it's not his face I see when I read Twilight, I'm am so totally willing to fork over a couple of twenties so that I can down caffeine and popcorn whilst watching him and his lovely tousled hair on the big screen. Did you know that he has a song on the soundtrack that he wrote for the movie himself? See, he's embracing his inner Edward. Every male in the world should have to read Twilight as soon as they hit puberty, so that it stamps the idea of what a perfect man is actually like. XD

I have got to go to bed, it is sooooooo late. My cell is working, but all my numbers are gone with the wind (my SIM was so blown the dude at the store couldn't even retrieve them. The funny thing is I am getting a new SIM card in week or less with my new VA number). So please, people, pm me your numbers!! I need them!!! Or text message me your numbers!! I haven't memorized a new number in almost 2 years because I am a slave to evil technology.

And Mic, just try to watch the trailer. I'm not saying you have to go see the movie, I understand your point completely, but I think this trailer gives a far better picture of the overall movie. So if you don't like it then you know not to go see it, and if you like it then maybe you can take pity on my other poor lonely Okie friends and go see Twilight with them. Just a thought. XD

Holy crap, I'm in. I want to take the whole day of the 21st off just so I can watch the movie over and over. Yes, I've gone into crazy land, but who cares. It took me a while to get used to Rob, but as I said, I'm in. The apple part is awesome, but I wonder how the other covers will be incorporated into the possible sequels. And from the 1-second clip, I like the prom scene. But I'm a fool for a guy in a suit, part of the reason I'm a biz major Smile I think the fighting could have been done better though, particularly the flying thing. The producers probably didn't include other characters because they're going for the teen-romance demographic. And I think they did a great job if that was their goal.

Sidenote- I really like Tabitha's Salon Makeover, and the new show Kath and Kim. I was skeptical of this second show, but I watched it tonight and thought it was pretty funny. But I haven't watched the foreign version, so I have no way of knowing which is better. I just think it's great that Kim wants a divorce because her new husband wants her to microwave a meal instead of going to Applebee's every night Smile

The prom scene was sweet, but what the hell was she wearing? From that ever so brief glance it looked horrible and not at all the beautiful dress that Stephenie described... but of course I only saw the back of it.

I also enjoy Tabitha's Salon Takeover, but I'm skipping Kath and Kim, but from what I've heard the Australian version is a lot funnier (a big complaint was Selma Blair's acting, which I totally agree with. She does this weird eye rolling thing, and she always seems bored.) But if it sticks around for a little while I'll check it out.

I recently started watching the first season of Pushing Daisies which I am loving, and Chuck is back!! He's fills my Alias hole a bit, and I cannot wait for My Own Worst Enemy with Christian Slater (actually I won't have to, iTunes has the premiere available to watch early and I already downloaded it.)

I can only get on the computer when I am at work and I don't like to go fishing around too much for stuff to watch. I'm affraid I'll accidently download something dirty Embarassed
So I wont get to see the trailor for Twilight. But I think that is a good thing. I am nervous about how the movie is going to stand up, very nervous. So I am doing everything I can to distance it from the book and keep my expectations low. I will not re-read the book between now and then, and I am not watching anything else about the movie or reading anything else about the movie.
I will be going to see it though but also not at midnight, but this is why. My birthday (the big 26!) is on November, 29. Which also happens to be the night of the big OU vs. OSU game. Now, I am not a football fan, I root for OU and will go to the games with my dad, but on my birthday I refuse to let a game inconvience my plans. The only problam is that I usually have dinner with my family on my birthday night, but they are huge football fans and wont be paying any attention to me.
So, on my birthday I am going to go see Twilight, hopefully in the balcony at warren, with who ever would like to join me. Then I will do the family thing later. It sucks that I'll be waiting so long to see it, but by then all the crazy fans (cough~amanda~cough~kate~cough) will have already calmed down. And since I wont have tv or internet access I wont be hearing about everyone else's opinions.
Other than that I don't know what the other things were that you guys were talking about, kath and kim and applebee's and tabitha? scratch

The other things we were talking about are tv shows. I'll definitely go see twilight with you at warren. I haven't been in the balcony yet. And unless I can get my other friends hooked on the book, yes i do actually have other friends, I wont see it until someone else goes with me. I'd rather not be so sad and pathetic as to see it all by myself in the middle of the night. But I do thoroughly enjoy the trailer. And everyone needs to watch "Malaise de l'orange on youtube. It's really cute. And I haven't watched this yet, but check out "James Gunn's PG porn" on spike.com It has Nathan Fillion in it, so I'm optimistic.

PS- I'm going to be a pirate for Halloween pirat And my books are still en route Crying or Very sad

I loved Malaise de l'orange! I love that version of Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps, as it is also featured on one of my all time fav movies: Dream For An Insomniac.

I wish I was able to go see the movie with you guys!!! But, alas, I shall be here. As we are fairly poor at the moment I doubt that I will jetting back to OK anytime soon. Still, I'll drag Aaron to see it, then I'll drag my niece, and then my sister-in-law, and then go a few times by myself and imagine that Rob Pattison has made this movie as a personal message to me about the burning passion of our secret love. That while what we feel can never be, our love will be as immortal as the love between Edward and Bella...

Okies, I scared even myself a little there. XD Maybe I need to go eat some breakfast...
